Auteurs Notes: This is my opinion on if it maters to be proud of your country or not.
Am I proud of my country? I would have to say that I am but I am not. I am proud for my country because of the freedom that it provides and the fair treatment of the citizens. Also another thing that I am proud of is the military and how they keep fighting till the end. The reason that I am not proud of my country is because of the government and the president. I do not like the president because of some of the decisions that he made. The government is not favored by me because of the laws that they make. The laws just don’t seem right to me.

The U.S. Navy SEALs
Authors Note: This is a good description for what the SEALs do for a job.
The U.S. Navy SEALs are one of the toughest Special Forces teams in the military. SEAL stands for SEa, Land, and Air. Those are the elements that they fight in. These are also the elements that they train in. SEALs are known for having one of the hardest trainings in the military. No matter the job U.S. Navy SEALs can do it.
SEALs have the toughest training in the Special Forces. That is due to the jobs that they have to do. That is why they have to train on sniping, explosives, mechanics, and be able to pick up a weapon in the field know the gun and be able to work the gun. When the seals train the instructor likes to play mind games with the solders and what they will do is make them lay in the surf then run on to the beach then they have to stay in the forward rest position. The instructor makes them do that for a few hours. They also have to work as a team to continuously raise and lower a 500lb log. This training is what skims out the weak from the strong and that is why the U.S. Navy SEALs are known as the elite of the elite.
The origin of the U.S. Navy SEALs came from a World War II group called the Frog Men. Then JFK (John F Kennedy) funded and supported the creation of the SEALs in the early days of the Korean War. The frog men in WWII were a special group of Army divers how would swim to blockades that stopped allied ships from dropping troops on the beaches. During the Korean War cold war and beginning of Vietnam War there were small gropes of frog men. JFK had funded the SEALs program because he thought that the navy could use a multipurpose Special Forces grope like the U.S. Navy SEALs. To me I think that JFK wanted the navy to have a team that could do the job and well.
The U.S. Navy SEALs can do their jobs and no one will know that they were ever there. That is why the SEALs train so hard it’s so that they can do their jobs without error. JFK was right when he had thought of the best Special Forces grope in the military. That is why their motto is the only easy day was yesterday.

Black Hawk Down
Dear Eversmann
I think that you could have prevented most of the events that had happened to you and your men. The way you could have prevented some of them is by communicating better. Like when your friend ran across the street and got shot in the leg. You could have also prevented Blackburn from falling out of the black hawk also.
If you had communicated better your friend might have lived and wouldn’t have been shot in the leg. Also if would have communicated to the helicopter pilots the helicopter might not have been shot down and that could have won that battle. Then maybe you wouldn’t have lost as many men as you did. So if you could have communicated the turnout would have been different.
Sincerely Eversmann
