Family life of Johnny

Authors note: This is about Johnny’s life and how the Greasers affected it.


The definition of family to Johnny is his friends and the greasers. The greasers are his family because they do not desert him and yell at him all the time. They also treat him with some respect. Also Ponyboy, Darry and Sodapop are his family who treats him better than his own family dose. Johnny's family would rather have him dead.

Johnny’s real parents have never really cared for him. They always have ignored him for his howl life. That is how he got involved with the greaser and his life style. If his parents had card for him he might not have gotten involved with the greasers. To me it seems like Johnny’s family should have cared for him instead of yelling at him.

Johnny’s treats his friends like they are his family. His friends are his family because they treat him the way his mom and dad had not. They all act as if they were all related to each other even though they are not. That is true friend ship.

The Greasers are also his family. The Greasers accept him as family because they actually got to know him. His Parents are not as kind to him as the greasers are to him because they don’t yell at him all the time. That is why the greasers are more of a family to him than his own parents.

Johnny’s real family is not really his own family. Ponyboy, Darry and Sodapop are more of Jonny’s family because they treat him the way he wants to be treated. The greasers also treat him better his real family. So it seems that Johnny’s parents are not hat grate.

Letter to Darry

Dear Darry

I think that the way that you treat Ponyboy is good. It’s good because that you are teaches him to try his hardest to achieve what is best for him. And that is helpful to him because that will help him to be successful in his life. That is also what your parents would have wanted for him.
Things that it could help him with are that he can start to move on and improve what he has by getting a better education. If he gets a better education he can get a good job and have a better life.
